 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;  to be made new in the attitude of your minds;  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness        Ephesians 4:22-24

Congratulations House Audacia for putting on the new self as demonstrated by the following core values.

  • One member put on CHIVALRLY by helping a student with back problems carry her books to and from class.
  • One member put on SERVICE by straightening up a teacher’s room without being asked.
  • One member put on EXCELLENCE and INITIATIVE by sharing thoughts on important ideas.
  • One member put on SERVICE by helping to clean up Mr. Wilmoth’s room.

Congratulations House Fides for putting on the new self as demonstrated by the following core values.

  • One member  put on CHIVALRY by offering his seat to a teacher when he noticed that she did not have a place to sit.
  • One member put on EXCELLENCE and DILIGENCE by turning in a superb “fallacy journal”.
  • One member put on KINDNESS by serving Mr. Staggers a cup of hot chocolate at lunch.

Congratulations House Sapientia for putting on the new self as demonstrated by the following core values.

  • One member put on CHIVALRY by holding the door for teachers and students in 8 degree weather.
  • One member put on COMPASSION by encouraging a fellow classmate who was discouraged.
  • One member put on RESPECT and HUMILITY by his continuing interaction with his teachers.
  • One member put on INITIATIVE and HUMILITY  by seeking to improve in weak academic areas.

Congratulations House Audacia for demonstrating values of  goodness, righteousness, and truth:

  • One member demonstrated GOODNESS by helping Mr. Leland straighten up his room without being asked.
  • One member demonstrated CHIVALRY standing in the rain to hold the door for Mrs. Sneed.
  • One member demonstrated TRUTH and INTEGRITY when he brought to Mrs. Dearing’s attention a grading error on his quiz which resulted in him receiving a lower grade.
  • One member demonstrated GOODNESS and KINDNESS when he moved a desk for Mrs. Staggers, so she could retrieve a whole stack of papers that had fallen between the desk and the wall.
  • One member demonstrated GOODNESS by his intentional time  spent getting to know and encourage grammar school students.

Congratulations House Fides for demonstrating values of  goodness, righteousness, and truth:

  • One member demonstrated DILIGENCE by getting her work and re-confirming assignments BEFORE she missed school for a family trip.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by volunteering to take out the trash for Mr. Wilmoth.
  • One member demonstrated TRUTH and INTEGRITY when he brought to Mr. Wilmoth’s attention an error on his quiz which had not been marked.
  • One member demonstrated TEAMWORK by helping House Audacia with babysitting during a recent parent meeting.

Congratulations House Sapientia for demonstrating values of  goodness, righteousness, and truth:

  • One member demonstrated SERVICE and HELPFULNESS by cleaning dishes in the kitchen.
  • One member demonstrated DILIGENCE by getting his work and re-confirming assignments BEFORE he misses a couple of days of class.
  • One member demonstrated GOODNESS and KINDNESS when she helped move a desk for Mrs. Staggers, so she could retrieve a whole stack of papers that had fallen between the desk and the wall.
  • One member demonstrated GOODNESS by his intentional time  spent getting to know and encourage grammar school students.

Servant Hearts, Spirit, and Leadership

Fides cleaned up the CCS Back lot – 10 members received 30 community service points. And the House “Dean” team added an additional 5pts for leadership and coordination of the event.  Plus members of both Audacia and Sapientia earned Core Value points for their TEAMWORK and SERVICE alongside Fides members. Thank you all so much for getting your hands dirty and serving your school by working to keep the grounds looking their best.

Audacia was the first house to post upcoming information and announcements on their bulletin board!  (5 Admin Leadership points!)  Way to go!  Keeping your board updated is another tool to keeping your House informed!

Pastor’s Luncheon – 80 points for Fides for submitting a list of 16 student names that invited their pastors to attend the luncheon.
