Warrior Pride with National Scholars and Fall Athletics

September has been filled with exciting moments in academics and athletics at CCS!  Warrior pride is on the rise! img_8598

Congratulations to Kirby Thigpen, who has been named a National Merit Semifinalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program! Over 1.6 million students in more than 22,000 high schools took the 2015 PSAT.  The 16,000 semifinalists are the highest scoring entrants in each state and represent less than 1% of each state’s high school seniors. The semifinalists now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,500 National Merit Scholarship awards that will be offered spring 2017. Such a historic moment warrants historic point levels. House Audacia 150 points! Outstanding work, Kirby!
And the praise continues…Congratulations to Daniel Haycox, who received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program, representing the top 2.5% of the state’s high school seniors. House Fides 75 points. Amazing job, Daniel!
