It’s hard to believe, but we are now entering the season of CCS Student Government and House leadership elections and interviews for the 2017-18 school year. In order to make sure that all of the upper school students are informed on what leadership roles are available and what responsibilities each position holds, the current SG and House leaders recently gave a presentation on their experience as leaders during this current school year. The CCS Student Body President, Evan Prince, opened by sharing the purpose statement of Student Government.
We the students of Covenant Classical School, in order to bring together and enlighten fellow students in the goals and workings of this school, and to foster school pride, establish school traditions, and unify the school as a whole, have established a Student Government made up of students in the 7th-12th grades and works alongside the faculty and administration to help create a school culture that seeks first to know God and make Him known.
The Student Government verse is, 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
