Leadership for 2018-19

For the 2018-19 school year, changes were made to the process to run or interview for leadership positions in Student Government or the House System.  Each student interested in a leadership position had to fill out an application, answer 3 essay questions, and get a letter of recommendation from someone outside of the school.

The students embraced the changes and turned in impressive applications for consideration.

For Student Government – Bryson Rose was elected President.  A few of his creative campaign posters are below.

Jaden Rudolph was elected Student Government Vice President.

Olivia Blakey (not pictured) was elected School Spirit Prefect.

And then each class elected a class representative.
12th grade rep – Emma Henry
11th grade rep – Sydney Campanella
10th grade rep – Garrett Cox
9th grade rep – Parker Rose
8th grade rep – Sophie Gantz
7th grade rep – Cody Arensman To publicly celebrate the new leaders, the students were asked to come forward during morning assembly to be introduced.

Following the Student Government leaders, the House leaders were also introduced.  This year, the Houses started a new tradition by “pinning” the leaders with a special and unique pin representing their House.

Sapientia Leaders:

Erin Davis (House President), Callie Mahaley (Social Prefect), and Andrew Faircloth (Service Prefect)

Fides Leaders:

Jonathan Haycox (House President), Weston Cregger (Social Prefect), Lauren Jones (Service Prefect)

Audacia Leaders:

Michael Merrill (House President), Tyler Hicks (Social Prefect), Sydney Himpel (Service Prefect)

And in a private ceremony during Student Government meeting, Laura Sneed presented Bryson with the president’s sword for Bryson to sign – adding his name to a list of leaders that have gone before him!

So excited about the leadership for the 2018-19 school year!

A united group of student leaders dedicated to serving the CCS student body by voicing their desires and improving the overall experience of Covenant Classical School.
