House Inductions 2022

The first day of school was spent in a Foundations seminar filled with informative speakers, review of the CCS Honor Code and handbook, reminders about the dress code, etc. and recognition of our Seniors. Before the students were dismissed, the new students participated in the House Induction Ceremony.

The House leaders and advisors came forward to introduce themselves and share their House fable of origin. (You can read about each House by clicking “House Descriptions” in the black menu bar above. That assumes you are on the blog http://covenantclassicalhouseblog.org/and not reading this via email.)

Jack Henry read Audacia’s House Fable and Christian Coan read Constantia’s

Andrew Lechner read Fides’s House Fable and Levi Richardson and Tyler Ramsden shared in the reading of Sapientia’s.

LET THE INDUCTIONS BEGIN!

House Inductions are always an exciting time with rising seventh graders and new students anxiously awaiting the announcement to what house they will belong.

All the students gathered in their Houses forming either a circle or tunnel in which to receive their new inductee, while the new students sat in their chairs waiting for their names to be called to come forward. Each house was excited to see who would be joining them and received their new members with great enthusiasm and House spirit.

After the inductions were complete, we played a game called Apple/Orange/Banana where each house formed a closed circle and when Mrs. Hudson announced “Apple”, everyone hopped forward / “Orange”, everyone hopped backward / “Banana”, everyone turned the other direction.

House Audacia
House Constantia
House Fides
House Sapientia

The houses were complete, fun was already beginning and everyone looked forward to getting to know their new House family members better over the coming year.

Live Courageously! Keep the Faith! Pursue Wisdom! And Constantly Remember!
