Rounding out the 3rd quarter …

The 3rd Quarter winner will be announced this coming week but before we announce we still have some updates on Core Values for 3/6-10 and events to report.

  • One Member exhibited enthusiastic SERVICE by volunteering to help Mrs. Kuhn hang Pi Day signs.
  • Two Members demonstrated LEADERSHIP, TIME MANAGEMENT, and RESPONSIBILITY by sending Mrs. Haycox their speech outline by the time requested.
  • One Member acted in SERVICE by taking out the classroom trash for Mrs. Quillen.
  • One Member displayed CHIVALRY by being very polite and holding the door for one of his teachers.

  • One Member consistently demonstrates INITIATIVE and by volunteering to put his work on the board in Physics class.
  • Two Members demonstrated LEADERSHIP, TIME MANAGEMENT, and RESPONSIBILITY by sending Mrs. Haycox their speech outline by the time requested.

  • One Member offered his SERVICE to Mrs. Russell when she had more than she could carry back to her classroom.

  Sydney Himpel of House Audacia  participated in the Piano Federation Festival at Queens College. She was required to memorize and play two Classical pieces of her choice in front of judges (“Bouree” by Telemann and “The Healing Garden” by Klouse). She received a Superior rating (the highest rating possible). Well Done!!

  • Two Members acted in SERVICE by volunteering to clean the whiteboard in the Spanish room.

  • One Member consistently is HELPFUL to Mr. Wilmoth by volunteering to do acts of SERVICE.
  • One Member impressed CCS parents with their EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE as they helped move the columns into place for the Greek Festival.

  • One member displayed GRATITUDE and WISDOM with an attitude of thankfulness and her interest in things of eternal value.

  • Three Members demonstrated RESPONSIBILITY and SERVICE by volunteering to babysit during the Parents’ Meeting.
  • Two Members acted in SERVICE by  spending hours and hours helping Mrs. Sneed prepare Warriorgrams.
  • Two Members displayed ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE with their willingness to comment and participate in the discussion during Colloquy.

  • Four Members acted with CHIVALRY and KINDNESS by offering to open and hold the door for others before themselves.
  • Four Members demonstrated a heart of SERVICE when they reached out to offer help to their teachers and school staff.
  • Two Members acted with HELPFULNESS by serving Mrs. Quillen with laminating game pieces and looking up scriptures about Love.
  • One Member was chosen as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist for her consistent LEADERSHIP, ACCOMPLISHMENT, and ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.
