Congratulations to House Audacia for pursuing the following core values:

  • One member has exhibited a TENACIOUS EFFORT to succeed this year.
  • One member pursued SERVICE when he held the door for all students and teachers after armor time.
  • Twelve members in 7/8th grade pursued WISDOM AND VIRTUE when they wholeheartedly shared scriptures this week on kings and rulers in history and English class.
  • One member was noted for his ability to imaginatively ENGAGE with 9th grade literature and the EXCELLENT questions that he brings to class.
  • One member pursues deep ENGAGEMENT with philosophical IDEAS in Apologetics class.
  • Two members pursued PERSEVERANCE and HARD WORK when they participated in a self-directed translation session in Latin IV class demonstrating an example of true Classical Education at work.
  • Two members pursued SERVICE by helping clean up a big paint mess  for Mrs. Lily Wilmoth.
  • One member pursued SERVICE when he passed out multiple papers for Mrs. Staggers during Algebra I.

  • Three members pursued EXCELLENCE and DILIGENCE winning Hobbit House awards In English 7.
  • One member pursued GOODNESS and HELPFULNESS by assisting Mrs. Dearing in picking up things after English class.
  • One member has demonstrated a WILLINGNESS TO LEAD and the personal DISCIPLINE to pursue WISDOM and VIRTUE as observed by Mr. Leland.
  • One member pursued SERVICE when he held the door for all students and teachers after armor time.
  • Eleven members in 7/8th grade pursued WISDOM AND VIRTUE when they wholeheartedly shared scriptures this week on kings and rulers in history and English class.
  • One member pursued TEAMWORK by helping clean up after the Pep Rally.
  • One member pursued COURAGE and INITIATIVE by volunteering to lead Chapel and provoked his fellow students to think on important matters.
  • One member pursued WISDOM and VIRTUE by consistently demonstrating a steadfast, patient, and calm spirit In English 12 and Rhetoric II.
  • One member pursued EXCELLENCE in Mrs. Stagger’s math class when he demonstrated genuine enthusiasm and interest.
  • One member pursued WISDOM by having a positive attitude and respectful demeanor in accepting correction even when he was held accountable for something he did not do.
  • One members pursued PERSEVERANCE and HARD WORK when he participated in a self-directed translation session in Latin IV class demonstrating an example of Classical Education at work.
  • Three members pursued SERVICE when they passed out multiple papers for Mrs. Staggers during Algebra I.

  • One member pursued EXCELLENCE and DILIGENCE winning a Hobbit House award in English 7.
  • One member in 9th grade pursued SERVICE when he helped a Kindergarten student who was struggling with his back pack.
  • One member pursued SERVICE when he held the door for all students and teachers after fourth period even though it delayed his lunch.
  • Eleven members in 7/8th grade pursued WISDOM AND VIRTUE when they wholeheartedly shared scriptures this week on kings and rulers in history and English class.
  • One member pursued TEAMWORK by helping clean up after the Pep Rally.
  • One member pursued EXCELLENCE in Mrs. Stagger’s math class when he demonstrated genuine enthusiasm and interest.
  • One member pursued ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE and DILIGENCE  in her English 9 studies.
  • One member demonstrated COMPASSION when she helped a fellow student to understand the homework in Mrs. Wilmoth’s math class.
  • Two members pursued PERSEVERANCE and HARD WORK when they participated in a self-directed translation session in Latin IV class demonstrating an example of true Classical Education at work.
  • One member pursued INITIATIVE and CREATIVITY in her work as observed by Mr. Staggers.
  • One members pursued SERVICE by helping clean up a big paint mess  for Mrs. Lily Wilmoth.
  • One member pursued SERVICE, CHIVALRY, AND LEADERSHIP when she took initiative to clean up another person’s paint mess and stuck around a half hour after class to assist Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Lily Wilmoth.
  • One member pursued SERVICE when he passed out multiple papers for Mrs. Staggers during Algebra I.

1st Quarter Winner

Sapientia came in a close second with 1138 points and Audacia placed 3rd with a very respectable 1090 points!

Academics/GPA was the deciding factor!!

Total Point Breakdown for 1st Qtr:
49% of the points were from Academics (GPA and Apologetics Conference)
18% of the points were from Spirit/Social
15% of the points were from Community Service
10% of the points were from Athletics
8% of the points were from Core Values and Dean Team Leadership

All three houses had a SUPER 1st quarter.  THANK YOU ALL for your hard work, participation, and House and School Spirit!

  • Fides was awarded Admin Points for Emily Goddard organizing the collection for Cooperative Christian Ministries (5pts)

  • Sapientia cam in 3rd place (10pts)

Attendance at CCS sporting events – Volleyball, Cross Country, and Soccer – for the 1st quarter have also been added to the point totals.
