On Monday, December 7th, House Fides joined with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive. Thanks to our CCS parents, grandparents, faculty, alumni, and students CCS donated 30 pints of blood, exceeding our goal of 25 pints! The blood donated has the potential to save over 90 lives!

The pandemic was not going to stop the Christmas spirit at CCS. In fact we had a fun filled week of celebration. Below are some pictures of the fun and festivities.
The tradition of door decorating for a class competition continued. The creativity of each class is always fun to see, as is their ability to coordinate and communicate with each other to accomplish the task in a short amount of time.

Gingerbread House Contest
Traditionally a House competition, this year we turned the gingerbread house competition into a class/grade competition. Each grade was given the same box of pre-made gingerbread house parts and then the students were to bring in the additional “sweet” items to craft a “masterpiece”!
The 9th grades chose to go with a math themed gingerbread house.

Serving at the Operation Christmas Child shoebox processing center in Charlotte is one of our most loved Upper School service events! This year was no exception. Over 50 members of our CCS community volunteered to help process shoeboxes.
