Warrior Camp 2020!!!

Warrior Camp 2020 was held at the US National Whitewater Center! Each House was divided into 3 groups to compete in an adventure race!

The day began with a detailed orientation!

After orientation the groups were off and the race began!

The groups were able to decide which activities they wanted to participate in! Near the end of the race, they were hot and eager to get wet! Luckily, Deep Water Solo was a part of their race!

At 1:00pm the race came to an end and the students had a break for lunch and some free time! Then the rafting began! Everyone was able to raft with their classmates!

At the end of the day the results were tallied and the winners announced!!!

Covenant’s Got Talent

On February 8th, House Fides hosted the 3rd Annual Covenant’s Got Talent Show! We have so many talented Students at CCS!

The various acts included drums, singing, dancing, comedy, a blindfolded piano performance, group skits, flute, violin guitar, and so much more! It was an evening filled with talent and laughter!

In-between acts our MCs introduced the judges and entertained us with games!

Did you know that CCS even has a synchronized swim team? Ha! We didn’t know about it either. But they WOWED the audience with their only/last performance!

At the end of the evening awards were given out and everyone was all smiles!

Most Classical award – Julia and Lauren Jones

“Knock My Socks Off” Award – Garrett Cox

Most Creative award – Maggie Faircloth, Anna Grace Davidson, Micaiah Thomas, Emma Lawing, and Ella Benham

Covenant’s Got Talent would not be complete with out a performance from the Soggy Bottom Dads!

While the Soggy Bottom Dad’s preformed, we were all thrilled with a guest performance by Olga Leland!

Fall Games 2019

The 6th Annual Fall House Games Competition was the first House Games with 4 Houses in competition! As in previous years, the competition was fierce but filled with silly games, laughter, and great sportsmanship.

For each game, the House leaders had to strategically determine which members should participate based on the skills needed or the willingness of the members to do some of the crazier activities. Each game had the 1st place winner receiving 1 point, 2nd place winner receiving 2pts, 3rd place winner receiving 3pts, and 4th place winner receiving 4pts. The “Ultimate Winner of the Fall House Games” was the House with the lowest number of points.

Throughout the afternoon the points were close between the four Houses, but at the end of the day, House Fides was announced the winner, with House Constantia close behind in second place.

1st place – Fides 38 points

2nd place – Constantia 42 points

3rd place – Sapientia 47 points

4th place – Audacia 50 points

We began the games with the House chant competition, judged by Mrs. Thigpen and Mrs. Russell. While the House chants did not count for points in the Fall Games, they really kicked off the competition with an awesome display of house spirit!

Balloon Smash – It’s a tradition to start off Fall Games with this noisy and crazy game of balloon stomp!

Elephant War – in honor of the new house of elephants, we decided to have the 4 House Captains battle each other with “tusks.”
