CCS Upper School Art Show

2017 CCS Upper School Art Show and reception was held at the Cabarrus Art Guild in Concord.  The students and their families had a chance to fellowship, admire the wonderful work, and enjoy refreshments.

Below are just some pictures from the many wonderful works of art created by the CCS students.

Go check out ALL the pieces.  You will be impressed!
The students’ work will be on display during the month of April.

Points for attendance: Audacia 14pts, Fides 8pts, Sapientia 16pts

Prom 2017

Prom 2017 was held at the River Run Country Club.  The juniors did a fabulous job planning and decorating for the event.  The theme was “Great Gatsby” and the students all had a fantastic night.

Below are a sampling of photos from the fun night of dinner and dancing!

Sports, Spirit, and Service

CCS Upper School Students enjoyed the NCAA tournament with a “best bracket competition” as well as watching some of the games in the Student Lounge.

Sapientia showed their school spirit by hosting a tailgate party before a home Varsity soccer game. (15pts – school spirit)

Audacia served the grammar school by setting up, blowing up countless balloons, and serving at the Grammar School Daddy/Daughter Dance! (30pts – community service)

Election Time

Recently, the CCS Student Government held elections for SG President and Vice President for the 2015-2016 school year. The signage was creative, and all 5 of the speeches were amazing! There were three candidates for Vice President and two candidates for President.

All the speeches were informative, inspiring, and inventive.  One even included the unexpected moment of turning out the lights.  After all the speeches were made, the ballots were cast.

Bryson Rose won the race for SG Vice President and Cameron Warner won the race for Student Body President.  Congratulations, gentlemen!

At the end of the day, outgoing president Evan Prince made the election official with a “passing of the sword” ceremony.
