The Rhetoric School trip to Charleston was a filled with fun, fellowship, and firsts. Among the many sights they saw, they also had the honor of participating in the 150th anniversary of the re-raising of the United States flag over Fort Sumter. (Audacia 20pts, Fides, 24 pts, Sapientia 16pts)

For the final House Meeting of the school year, the Advisors joined in on the fun with a game called Paper Dragon! Each had their own strategy for unrolling the streamers, but all were exhausted by the end of it.

House “Dean” Team Updates – 4/20/15

CCS Upper School Students demonstrated their servant hearts by helping set up for the Book Fair.

The Upper School students also participated in the Grandparent’s Day program by handing out programs, greeting visitors, singing, reciting Latin, leading worship, food preparation, and directing parking. (Audacia – 27pts, Fides – 42pts, Sapientia – 36pts)

Sapientia challenged its House members to a Book Drive for the CCS Library.  A total of 52 books were donated!  Way to go, Sapientia! (5pts – Admin Leadership, 52 pts for books collected)

Student Government Elections

Right before Easter break, the CCS Student Government held elections for SG President and Vice President for the 2015-2016 school year.

The signage was creative, and all four of the speeches were amazing! There were two candidates for Vice President and two candidates for President.

The 4th Quarter started off with the 10th graders entertaining the 3rd graders with a Medieval Marriage Mayhem, and Sapientia blessing the teachers with a surprise breakfast. (Core Value pts for 10th graders, 5pts Admin pts for Sapientia)

Then Sapientia surprised one of its members who was to participate in the Acrofitness Fit-a-thon by raising $55 to support him and benefit A Cure for Cancer.

Fides also demonstrated their generous hearts by raising $28.74 in change for Women’s Health Center of Cabarrus County.
