During their most recent House meeting, each House was given three pumpkins to carve! They planned ahead, came prepared, and had tons of fun working together!
Each house met, devised a plan, and began carving!
After the carving was complete, the pumpkins were put on display for the Grammar School students to vote on!
Audacia’s Pumpkins
Constantia’s Pumpkins
Fides’ Pumpkins
Sapientia’s Pumpkins
And the Winners were……..
Fides – Best Overall Award for the headless horseman pumpkin
Fides – Most House Spirit for the mini lion, owl, and elephant pumpkins going into the wolf den.
Audacia – Most Creative Award for the hamburger pumpkin
Constantia – Grammar School Favorite for the painted black pumpkin

Now for the 2021-22 Covenant Cup Winner…
The CCS Covenant Cup winner is determined a bit differently than the quarter winners. It is not a sum of points accumulated over each quarter that determines the winner, but rather the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th placement that each House has in the quarters as well as the placement in the Fall and Spring House Games. It is not only important to try to secure some 1st place wins, but equally important is to not place 3rd or 4th in any of the qtrs.
As you can see from the chart above, to win the Covenant Cup a House does not have to win each quarter, but it needs to have the least 3rd and 4th place finishes each quarter. However this year, we had a TIE between House Constantia and House Fides, who both ended the year with 13 points.
The tie breaker is determined by which House has the most over all Core Value points from all 4 quarters.
And therefore with a combined total of 40 more Core Value points over the year, the 2021-22 Covenant Cup Winner is… HOUSE FIDES!
The Fides flag will fly and their crest will be framed and hung in the lobby for all of the 2022-23 school year until the next Covenant Cup winner is determined.
What a fun way to end the school year with a Lake Day hosted by House Fides at the home of one of their advisors, Dr. Williamsen. The students enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, sunbathing and spikeball.
Survival of the strongest on the paddleboards…
Taking a break from the water to play some spikeball…
So thankful for the adult chaperones who came out to enjoy time with our students and fellowship with each other.
Constantia hosted a fun Escape Room event for all upper school. Students were placed in groups of 4-6 students per group and had to put team work and problem solving skills to the test to see who could escape their room the fastest.
Sapientia hosted an all upper school Park Day event at Veteran’s Park.
Students enjoyed basketball, volleyball and kickball.

The annual Powder Puff game was loads of fun. The girls showed great sportsmanship in the midst of some impressive athleticism on both sides. Lots of laughter, encouragement, hugs, and fun was had by both teams, but in the end, the Purple team pulled out the victory.
Student Government hosted their spring Pancake Breakfast.
The student leaders did a great job in the kitchen and lots of CCS families had their tummies filled up and fueled up to start their day off great!
