Changing of the Guard 2nd qtr

This year we are piloting a change to our Student Government. Instead of having one Student Body President for the duration of the school year, each House Captain is leading the student body for one quarter.

Our second quarter Student Body President was House Audacia Captain, Anna Cooper! Anna blew the school away with her excellent leadership. Anna is humble, strong, and organized!

At the end of second quarter it was time for Anna to step down and hand the job of SG President over to our next Captain! Per our CCS tradition, Anna signed our CCS sword!

Welcome Lee Williamsen as our third quarter Student Body President!

Christmas Spirit Week 2020

The pandemic was not going to stop the Christmas spirit at CCS. In fact we had a fun filled week of celebration. Below are some pictures of the fun and festivities.

The tradition of door decorating for a class competition continued. The creativity of each class is always fun to see, as is their ability to coordinate and communicate with each other to accomplish the task in a short amount of time.

Gingerbread House Contest

Traditionally a House competition, this year we turned the gingerbread house competition into a class/grade competition. Each grade was given the same box of pre-made gingerbread house parts and then the students were to bring in the additional “sweet” items to craft a “masterpiece”!

The 9th grades chose to go with a math themed gingerbread house.

The Junior class made a car for their gingerbread man to travel in style!

The 8th grade house had so many details. The 8th graders worked diligently making stained glass windows for their house.
