Fides Den Night 2109

Fides Den Night 2019 was a HOWLING success!

There were so many different games that it was hard to choose what to play first!

Table after table was filled with friends laughing and talking and playing. And the pizza and snacks were yummy too!

Well done House Fides! The tradition continues and gets better every year!

Spirit Week, Pancake Breakfast, and Fall Pep Rally

Sprint week was fun for all! The Upper School started the week off with a Country vs Country dress day.

The Spirit Court winners for Country vs Country were Chrissy, Jeremy, Tabitha, and Luke!

Tuesday’s spirit day theme was Christmas in October with the seniors allowed to dress as senior citizens (a theme they requested).

The morning started with pancakes served up by the leaders in Student Government. Christmas decorations and music got everyone in a festive mood…even those OLD senior citizens, who were worn out from all the fun!

The Spirit Court winners for Christmas in October were Michelle and Zach. Old man Jonathan (literally the oldest student at the school currently) was awarded the spirit court win for the senior citizens.

Wednesday’s spirit week theme was Jersey Day for both the Upper School and Grammar School. All sorts of teams were celebrated with the Spirit Court winners being Ian, Taylor, and Jack! GO TEAM JESUS!

Thursday’s theme was TACKY DAY…and the students had a lot of fun with this theme. I would say that they were both tacky and WACKY! Abby and Garrett were selected for the Spirit Court.

The last day of Spirit Week was PINK OUT day to support breast cancer awareness. The Spirit Court winners were Michelle, Peyton, and Ben!

Then at the end of the school day, we celebrated with a Pep Rally for all the athletes that participated on the Fall sport teams. All the Spirit Court winners from the week played a fun game of dodgeball against a group of grammar schoolers. Then each athlete was announced and ran through a tunnel of grammar school students for lots of “high fives!”

Lastly the Upper School played a game of blindfold musical chairs with all the new students to CCS this year.

Let’s Go Warriors! That Warrior Spirit is hard to beat!!

See You at the Pole 2019

On September 25th, students, faculty, and family members gathered around our flag pole to pray for our nation, school, and families. A hymn was sung and our Student Body President led us in a time of prayer.

What a privilege to start our day in prayer! And to be at a school that desires to give God the glory in all we do!

Fall Dance 2019

House Audacia kicked off our first social event of the year with cowboy boots and a country flair! The dance was at Shoaf’s Wagon Wheel in Salisbury, a real line dancing venue! It was full of character and old time charm. House Audacia even provided a dance instructor, Dennis Ritchie, to teach us some new moves! Everyone was a little timid at first, but quickly got into the spirit and had an awesome evening full of learning, dancing, and laughter!

Mr. Ritchie taught the guys and the gals how to be good partners!

Even the chaperones enjoyed the dancing!

House Audacia- we all agree that this dance needs to become an annual event!
