Congratulations House Audacia for demonstrating the following core values:

  • One member demonstrated LOVE AND SERVICE when she vacuumed Mrs. Bingham’s room and took out the trash without being asked. Mrs. Bingham returned to her room, and it was clean.
  • One member demonstrated LEADERSHIP and REVERENCE when he led the chapel for the Upper School.
  • One member took INITIATIVE to demonstrate HUMILITY and a GENTLE SPIRIT in a difficult situation.

Congratulations House Fides for demonstrating the following core values:

  • One member demonstrated GROWTH IN GODLINESS as witnessed by her recent conversations with adults.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by volunteering to set up the room for her elective class on Thursday.

  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by cleaning Mrs. Lily Wilmoth’s classroom.

Before 2014 comes to a close, we have a lot of House Points to catch up on! 

The Upper School Choir had a performance in Davidson and was mentioned by name in the CCS E-news on 11/25 and 12/5.  Audacia 4pts, Fides 4pts, and Sapientia 8pts.

12/2 Chick-fila spirit night attendance points – Fides 4pts

During the December 3rd House Meeting, each house was challenged to create a cheer/chant for members to use at pep rallies, house competitions, etc.  Audacia was the first to submit a Cheer/Chant (15pts) as well as the first to submit a video of all the house members chanting it in their house shirts (15pts).  If we can figure out how to upload the video, we will post it soon.

Core Values, December 8-19, 2015

  • Two members demonstrated SERVICE and SACRIFICE by giving up their Saturday to work at the Cabarrus Women’s Center moving furniture.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by helping take down chairs from the play.
  • One members demonstrated KINDNESS by taking out the trash for Mr. Wilmoth.
  • One member demonstrated FAITHFULNESS by including the Audacia symbol in her presentation about Joan of Arc.
  • Six members demonstrated DILIGENCE and EXCELLENCE by writing original poetry and reciting it at Mrs. Dearing’s Shire Party in English 8.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by cleaning Mr. Wilmoth’s room after a review game in history.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE by taking out all the trash after the seventh grade Christmas Around the World party.
  • One member demonstrated SERVICE and GOODNESS by spending all afternoon and evening decorating and preparing the gym for the faculty Christmas Party.
  • One member demonstrated KINDNESS and SERVICE by babysitting for teachers attending the faculty Christmas Party.

  • Three members demonstrated REVERENCE as they led the students in Christmas Carols during chapel.

  • One member demonstrated KINDNESS and SERVICE by working in the kitchen during the faculty Christmas Party.

  • One member demonstrated SERVICE AND GOODNESS by volunteering to take out Mrs. Dearing’s trash on a cold, drizzly day.
  • Three members demonstrated GOODNESS AND COMPASSION by assisting a fellow student with organization and study even though it meant sacrificing their study hall and lunch.
